Emerald Cockroach, (Pseudoglomeris magnifica)

Common name - Emerald Cockroach
Scientific name - Pseudoglomeris magnifica

The listing is for 1x animal, of a rare species of cockroach that is highly sought-after for their intense, metallic green colouration. Females of this species have evolved to be neotenous, meaning that they retain their juvenile appearance into adulthood. Males however gain wings upon reaching adult, and can glide for short distances when spooked.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from Vietnam, Asia. The nymphs and adults feed mainly on fruits. Additional supplements such as bee pollen and fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.

This species prefers arboreal set-ups, so enclosures that are taller-than-wide should be provided with climbing material such as branches, pieces of rotting wood and cork bark. Good ventilation is a must for this species.
