Red Spined Millipede, (Xenobolus carnifex)

Common name - Red Spined Millipede
Scientific name - Xenobolus carnifex

The listing is for 1x captive bred animal, of a strikingly beautiful species of millipede that is highly-sought after for its contrasting red and black colouration. Juveniles start off pale, but their red and black colouration strengthens as they grow up. Photo 1 shows the comparison between red spined millipedes and bumblebee millipedes.

These are CAPTIVE BRED in my collection, with this stock originating from India, Asia.

The juveniles and adults feed mainly on decaying wood and leaf mulch (decayed leaf litter). Additional supplements such as calcium (limestone/cuttlefish bone), fruits & veg, moss, and protein such as fish food should be offered as part of their balanced diet.
